This great site was on two levels and we planned to make the maximum use of both: The upper levels were used to create terraces and an area for a productive garden and greenhouse, whilst the lower level became a comfortable, sunny, family garden. The trellises provided screening for privacy and also opportunities for climbing plants. The lower garden has been planted with a variety of trees around the boundary across the garden below the terraces, so that in time it will be less visible from the upper terraces thereby increasing the opportunities for exploration. Trellis toppers were added to the existing fences to increase privacy and these will fade to grey in time.
